I had the pleasure of working with Bret when I was looking to purchase a home. My search was in the midst of the housing boom last year and properties were few and far between.

My realtor had been searching all summer, and my thoughts of finding "my house" were not very confident. I was new at the whole process, so I was a big reason for the delay in finding a home. I was leaving for a trip on a Friday and my realtor saw a listing by Bret Burke that just came on the market. The pictures were amazing and it just so happens that there was an open house that day. Since I was leaving that afternoon, I was hesitant to go look at the listing. Andrea, my realtor, was so passionate about the house, location and price - we had to take a look.

We went to look at the home and Bret was there to welcome us. There was an instant comfort with Bret. He was there to provide information, yet he let us look at the property and not feel like he was "pressuring" us - made us very comfortable.

As you can decipher, I am now the owner of the home. What was truly impressive was the assistance that Bret gave to both me and my realtor to get the transaction done. I was out of town for ten days!! This means that everything that is involved with purchasing the house was done while I was out of town - paperwork, inspection, etc. Bret was very helpful in the communicating between the sellers, my realtor and myself. Since the homeowners were on a deadline to relocate out of state. Bret was the key contact, on their behalf, to get any items resolved from the inspection/repair list. The relationship my realtor and Bret developed was fantastic! As comfortable as I was with Andrea, Bret made the experience seamless.

When I returned from my trip, I had some questions and items I wanted to look at as far as the house was concerned (i.e. possible leaks after a tremendous storm). Bret made extra time to meet us at the house and let me double check items that were on my mind.

The support Bret provided during the buying didn't end after the sale was complete. There was an issue with transferring the roof warranty. He made numerous calls to the contractor to make sure I had the necessary information to provide to them to insure the warranty was transferred properly. I know this took valuable time from Bret's schedule, yet he did it to make sure I was taken care of and happy. He went above and beyond the call of duty.

As I would 100% recommend my realtor (she was awesome), I can honestly say that Bret was equally impressive to work with on the entire house buying transaction. I still hear from Bret occasionally, just to see how things are going.

My first time home buying experience was so positive and it was mainly because of the relationship developed with me, my realtor and Bret. He would be an asset to any home seller and/or buyer.

Update - I have now had the pleasure of both Buying and Selling a house with Bret. In addition to my first experience as a buyer (below), Bret went even further as a listing agent. He visited my property countless times to review the area, look at comps, offer advice on staging, etc. He was also present for all interactions with the buyers including the inspection, walk-thru, and appraisal. House had offers the first weekend and was under contract within a week. Bret was ALWAYS available for questions or updates and was very proactive with the entire process from fixing up the property to the closing.
